At the heart of Chinese Metaphysics are the Five Arts. These five fields of study lay the groundwork for a comprehensive philosophical understanding of the universe and its inherent laws. Originating from the I-Ching (易经), or the Book of Changes, the Five Arts have historically shaped Chinese discourse on time, space, and the cosmos, blending intricate concepts with logical reasoning. The Five Arts are known as Mountain (山), Medicine (医), Divination (卜), Appearance (相), and Destiny (命).
